Greetings in Christ,

My Name is Fr Eugene Ashkar and I am the Assistant Priest here in the combined parishes.

I entered the Victorian Regional Seminary in Carlton in the beginning of 2000 and was ordained a Deacon in mid 2004 completing my studies by mid 2005. After completing my studies I was told I would have move out and wait acceptance for priestly ordination. At the kind invitation of the Parish Priest of St Gerard's Parish North Dandenong I moved in and ministered full time as a Deacon remaining there until the end of 2006 when I was finally accepted for priestly ordination.

In January 2007 I was appointed to St Francis of Assisi Parish, Mill Park as the Assistant Priest and have ministered there until my transfer to here.

It is with a great desire to serve and inspire the faithful of these partnered parishes that I begin this new venture and ministry. I hope and pray that we will together grow daily closer to the God who loves us and has brought us together in our quest and vocation to follow Christ more faithfully. God bless and keep you all.
