Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults |

Through the process of this Rite adults are initiated into the church. Normally at the Easter Vigil, they receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion. On the 20th March, three of our catechumens: Sulena, Ted and Trinh participated in the Rite of Election at the Cathedral at which Archbishop Denis Hart presided. Phuong, having recently given birth to a daughter, was unable to be present. It was a day of great joy for our catechumens, who are now known as the Elect. Please pray for them as they continue their journey of faith.

 We probably have all been going to Mass for years. Possibly we have been attending since our parents first brought us as children. But do we have an adult understanding of what it is all about? Sunshine Deanery is running a series of sessions on the Eucharist throughout this year. Living a Eucharistic Life will be the basis for the sessions that will be held on Tuesdays 18th & 25th October at 10.00 a.m. and repeated at 7.30 p.m. at Christ the King Parish House, Braybrook.

No Place like Rome - A Pilgrim's Reflection |

Well it is over one month ago that I was walking the streets of Rome, on pilgrimage, one of the Sister‘s of St Joseph, for Mary MacKillop’s Canonisation.With many Josephites and thousands of Aussies we participated and celebrated this momentous history making occasion. A great privilege. Rome is an amazing, exciting, chaotic city where there is so much to try to take in. I walked into many churches, to piazzas, to fountains, around many streets, (usually being lost!) soaking in the rich history that surrounded me all the time.
